To ensure the safety of students, Duval County Public Schools (DCPS) requires volunteers to complete an application and undergo a criminal background screening, free of charge, conducted by DCPS.
Alert! This is required for anyone who interacts with students (e.g., having lunch with your child, attending school parties and field trips as well as all volunteer activities such as volunteering in the classroom, library assistant, etc.).
The application/approval is good for two years.
